How did you become a commercial illustrator?
I studied illustration at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, moved to London and took my portfolio everywhere in between shifts at a cinema in Leicester Square.
Describe your working style.
I make sketches, then colour them in Photoshop.
What is your studio like?
Small. Hot. I call it ‘The Attic of Doom’.
What have been some of the most significant campaigns you have worked on in your career?
Eurostar is by far the biggest in terms of showing off to my friends. It was all – “See that bus there? See that picture on it? I did that”.
Tell us about a recent project which you really enjoyed.
I recently illustrated some poems by William Thackeray and Edward Lear. The poems are really silly so I had lots of fun bringing the characters to life.
