Describe your working style.

My illustrations are purely paper based. I wouldn’t call it the traditional quilling since I dont just make use of curls and swirls. Initially everything is sketched and colored, only then the paper strips come in. Its a lengthy process, an assignment easily takes a week to complete with 12 hours put in each day.

What is your studio like?

My studio is very simple with a lot of natural light, a big working table and my tools. The window has a view of trees that helps relax the mind.

What have been some of the most significant campaigns you have worked on in your career?

My first campaign for an Indian jewellery brand has been the most significant to date. It paved the path for future work that came my way and also gave me a lot of recognition in my own country, with billboards of my work seen across many cities.

Tell us about a recent project which you really enjoyed.

I recently did a big project for a publishing house in Brazil that produce educational books for children. I had to design the cover pages for 9 subjects of different themes. It was challenging because it did not have any type, just pure illustrations.
